Porta Spa?

WHY CHOOSE A PORTA
SPA?
1. Manufactured from 5mm sanitaryware grade acrylic with hand laminated
fibreglass backing with a 7 year guarantee.
2. All pipework is SABS approved and joins are welded with high-pressure
PVC glue.
3. Jets, bottom suctions, air induction controls, on/off buttons and other
components are carefully selected to ensure maximum efficiency and the
best value for money. (e.g. on/off buttons are not rubber that goes tacky
after a while.)
4. Cartridge filters are used and situated in a cylinder either away from
or under the spa to eliminate unpleasant odours right under your nose as
in the case the skimmer type filters.
5. Where lights are fitted, they are 12 volt lights with interchangeable
colour lenses (12 volts are safer and you don’t have to change a whole
light globe to get a different colour.)
6. Our timber frames have been improved and tested since 1985 and the best
frame for your application will be recommended. They are made from solid
timber and so eliminate the necessity for a galvanized frame to support
weaker material and sometimes superboard with veneer finish. Our frames
are also designed to be able to expand and contract with heat and damp and
treated with a wax finish that includes insecticides and fungicides. Our
frames are not shiny due to this fact. Meranti is the best readily
available timber for spa applications and has proved itself well on window
frames and external doors as well, although Balau is a harder timber it is
not recommended for enclosed spa applications as this timber needs to have
air circulating around it to keep it dry and prevent cracking.
7. Hydro jets used are adjustable directionally and strength wise.
8. Bottom suctions are safe and situated on the side the footwell enabling
you to remove the last bit the water from the spa ensuring spa
cleanliness. No water is left in the cavity of the floor drain.
9. Electrical components are covered by earth leakage and trip switches on
separate circuits.
10. Separate air switches are used for each component for easier
maintenance.
11. Pneumatic-type electro-mechanical switches and dial-type thermostats
are used to operate the spa and last longer than electronic switching
especially in warm damp conditions.
